Three large matching pots
For three large matching pots on a wind-swept balcony, Yolanda chose three Pony Tail Palms (Beaucarnea) for height.
These she under-planted with prostrate Griselinias, wind- and drought-tolerant ground cover shrubs with dense, sprawling foliage and fiery coloured toothbrush flowers for spring and summer.
On the outer edge of the balcony, a mixture of flowering plants was replaced with windtolerant and colourful Agapanthus and Libertia for a sophisticated, uncluttered look.
Libertia perigrinans, (New Zealand Iris) is a tough growing perennial with stiffly vertical foliage in striking orange-bronze.
